Horace Mann's 5th Grade "Communication Stations"

There are three "Communication Stations" up and running in the 5th Grade Hallway of Horace Mann Elementary School.  These interactive bulletin boards will be used throughout the year to address both English and Language Arts Standards and Math Standards.  One of the expectations of the new PSSA is that 5th Graders are adept communicators.  The activities the students will be engaged in at the Communication Stations will build their communication skills in the areas of writing, grammar, language, and editing.

The 5th Graders first task was to write a letter to their families who will be visiting our school tomorrow for Back to School Night.  Each 5th Grader wrote a letter and a special sentence for their families.  Students learned and practiced the conventions of writing a friendly letter and put the envelopes on the Communication Station to good use.

Families-
Please come in tomorrow night and read the letter from your special student!
