Clay Bowl, Wooden Basket, Bundle Of Sticks,  Tools, and a Woven Blanket

Pueblo Culture

Created by: Sophia, Amara, Cadence, Josh, Adam
The Pueblo culture lived in a hot desert area, in the American Southwest.  Their climate was a dry land with scarce natural resources. Their environment was a  desert in American Southwest. They spoke many different languages based on the Aztec language.
We made a clay house to show their shelter.  We also made a clay bowl for holding jewels and water. The basket is for carrying food.  We made a woven item to represent a small blanket.  We created a model of some tools that they would have used for getting clay.  The bundle of sticks is what they would have used to make a fire.

Tee-pee, Fire Pit, Log Bench, Jewelry, Spear
Makah Culture
Created by: Connor, Lee, Jacob, Olivia, Tyanna
The Makah lived in a region that has a mild climate in the Pacific Northwest.
The Makah hunted whales, seals, and other sea animals.  Each village was led by a Master or Chief.  They made  jewelry out of whale bones and baskets of grasses and bark.  The Makah spoke the Wakashan language.
We made a spear to hunt animals.  We made a teepee for shelter.  We made a fire for warmth.  We made jewelry.  We made a log for something to sit on.

Necklace, Basket, Shelter
Cheyenne Culture
Created by: Olivia, Hailey, Lia

The Cheyenne lived on the Plains and  depended on bison  for food and tools.  They had terribly cold winter and warm humid summers.

The Cheyenne used bison for their cartilage  to make jewelry. They wove weeds to make baskets.
We made a basket for the tribe to collect berries.  We also made a necklace from beadwork to display their arts.  Our last artifact is a shelter so the weather does not harm them and for the Cheyenne to sleep in.

Canoe and Coil Pots
Cherokee Culture
Created by: Na’Shawn, Madison, Sophie, Carcar
The Cherokee culture lived in the warm humid region of the American Southeast.  The region had many thick forests, rivers, and streams.
The Cherokee would use a canoe to fish and travel.  They would use them daily because of all the rivers and streams.  Canoes would have been made out of wood, but we made a model of a canoe out of red clay.
The Cherokee used coil pots to hold and collect food and water.  The Cherokee made dye out of plants to dye the clay to make coil pots. The real coil pots were actually made out of clay. We made two coil pots that are also made of clay. We used shells to decorate the pots. We filled the pots with things the Cherokee would actually use. We filled one with bark, and the other with blue clay which represents water.

Hammer, Bow and Arrow, Longhouses and Jewelry
Iroquois Culture
Created by: Arden, Ben, Emilee, Liam, and Mohammad
The Iroquois lived in the Northeast  region of America. They lived in what is now New York.
We made a hammer out of a rock, stick, and grasses.  The Iroquois used the hammer to create other tools.
We built a model of a bow and arrow that the Iroquois would have used to hunt bison.
We built a model of a longhouse that the Iroquois used to live in.
We also made jewelry for the women.
